Technical Implementation Specialist
We are seeking professionals with law firm experience who demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to scope projects and successfully manage projects to completion. These are consultant positions with Legal ICE IT, a division of the ICE Group. The successful candidate will have implementation experience and a strong technology interest along with the ability to understand and articulate the business impact of technology. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have a high command of technology, understand how to make recommendations for implementation of solutions, understand how to scope projects and can close the sale of services for the implementation of the solution.
The Technical Implementation Specialist must have diversified experience managing the full life-cycle development of both large scale and Jump Start-type engagements for enterprise deployments in the legal environment focused on solutions that may incorporate document management, desktop solutions, litigation support solutions, Portal, contact management, Workflow, etc. The successful candidate will perform technology implementations at law firms representing Legal ICE IT and provide innovative technology solutions ensuring client satisfaction. Experience in leading the deployment of large, complex technology projects is required.

Technical responsibilities of the position include installing and implementing custom solutions for customers, assisting them in the deployment of technology solutions and resolving issues of various complexities. The successful candidate must have the ability to familiarize with the complexities of technology solutions for law firms.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Providing client management, project management, technical expertise, requirements analysis, and implementation of technology solutions to different size law firms.
• Serving as a key communicator with clients and being a key client advocate
• Understanding the needs and requirements of prospects and customers, both business and technology
• Providing technical account management, which includes monitoring the project's status and coordinating the resolution of technical issues; interfacing with vendors and law firm development teams when technical issues arise
• Ensuring that projects are concluded on time, on budget, and with the highest degree of client and team satisfaction
• Providing technical service which explores various options of how issues may be resolved and assisting the customer in selecting the option that best fits their needs
• Performing project management functions including setting and monitoring schedules, tracking project costs and deliverables, providing status reports, and providing hands on technical services
• Developing high level and detailed project proposals complete with cost and delivery schedules
• Interfacing with internal departments within the law firm.
• Participating in the development of effective and sound business practices including setting standards/methodologies.

This position requires a mix of skills. The successful candidate will possess the following:
• B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred; B.A. degree acceptable with appropriate training and experience
• Must have formal Project Management experience, PMP Certification a plus
• Must have at least 5 years of experience with IT solutions/services, preferable in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Hands-on experience implementing large scale enterprise solutions, including large scale systems architectures (preferably including leading software companies)
• Experience with Enterprise Content Management solutions and involved in ECM
• Some level of knowledge and experience in some of the following: HTML, XML, Web-based applications, SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, other databases, Browsers, Windows NT, networking, and security
• Thorough knowledge of law firm applications and systems, such as, document management systems, contact management, records management, conflict management, time and billing, webs and portals, and case management, including litigation support solutions.
• Experience in the management and analysis of large document collections
• Experience required in the implementation of enterprise-wide, user-oriented systems including application integration
• Must be able to translate needs into technical solutions, have dedication to client service, and work in a team environment
• Experience in a revenue-oriented consulting environment preferred but not required
• Experience in Legal and/or Financial implementations is required
